2. The categories we use
Theme preference (browser storage)
This website remembers whether you prefer the light or dark theme. The preference is stored in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, contains no personal information, and is set when you switch theme. It is read on your next visit so the page appears in the theme you chose.
Analytics
Google Analytics measures which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. It runs on every visit and is not optional. It sets its own cookies, named _ga and similar, and sends the data to Google.
Advertising
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
3. Managing what is stored
There is nothing on this website to switch on or off. The theme preference and measurement are both always active, and no cookie banner appears.
You can clear the theme preference or the analytics cookies at any time using your browser’s controls for site data. Clearing them does not stop the website working: the theme returns to light until you change it again, and measurement starts again on your next visit.
4. How long these remain
The theme preference stays in your browser until you clear it or choose a different theme. Google Analytics sets its own expiry, which is up to two years by default.
If your browser prevents storage entirely, the theme applies for the current visit only and returns to light on your next one.
5. Third-party websites
Provider logos and locally displayed content do not activate third-party tracking. If you follow a link to another website, that website’s own cookie and privacy practices apply.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this policy if the website’s use of these technologies changes, and will describe a new purpose here before it is introduced.
